"Rachel has been a terrific support/teacher for Troy in regards to travel training around the city. Thru her efforts he became independent in taking the MTA bus uptown to Harlem for his GiGi's NYC programs, taking the cross town bus to the movie theater to meet with friends, taking the Q train to timesquare and navigating the crowds to the bowling alley, and the 6 train to his jobs. She also included many sessions on safety measures in the subway (where to stand, to change cars when needed, to avoid crowds, etc). She worked with him on walking thru the streets to ensure he is aware and alert of his surroundings at all times and to avoid certain sketchy areas. She also always kept me informed of his progress and let me know when things were of concern and any potentially unsafe activities that he was engaging in. She was always on time and if she was running late she always alerted me of her delay. Overall we enjoy and continue to enjoy working with her and Troy has made tremendous progress through her efforts."
